The Government Engineering College Jhalawar stands in high feather for being the first Engineering College of the Government of Rajasthan among 6 districts selected under ‘Rural Employment Guarantee’ programme by the Government of India-HRD Scheme. The first session 2007-08 of B.Tech. four year degree course was started with Four (4) branches. Two new brachches are introduced in the session 2009-10. The initial intake is 66 students in each branch. Today the college has a total strength of 1500 students- including students under the ‘fee-waiver scheme’. The names of branches and number of students is given in the following table :-

Pursuant to the judgment dated 14-8-2003 of Hon’ble Supreme Court in the case titled as Islamic Academy of Education V/s State of Karnataka, the State Government has constituted a State Level Fee Committee for determination of fee structure for various technical courses including degree Engineering courses. As per the directions of the State Level Fees Committee the interim fee structure for Degree Engineering courses for the session- 2010-2011 is as under:

TUITION FEES WAIVER SCHEME :
Depending upon the option given by the institute(s) for adopting the Tuition Fee Waiver Scheme (TFWS), benefits of TFWS will be provides to eligible candidates as per AICTE guidelines.

Management Courses

Government Engineering college Jhalawar offers 2 years full time Post Graduate Programme leading to the degree of MBA (Master of Business Administration) approved by AICTE and affiliated with Rajasthan Technical University, Kota. (RTU).

This is a Two Year full time programme, spread over four semesters and leading to the degree in Master of Business Administration.The most notable features of the programme are its flexibility and objectives of providing a genuinely broad based education. Students are given an opportunity to improve their communication skills in a well equipped, modern language lab with computers and cassettes. Annual Seminar, guest lectures, business simulation games, personality development workshops , create all round development of students.Final year students have a variety of specializations to choose from,depending on their aptitude and preferences and have the freedom to choosefrom a large number of electives.

Fee

Pursuant to the judgment dated 14.08.2003 of Hon'ble Supreme Court in the case titled Islamic Academy of Education V/s State of Karnataka, the State Government has constituted a state level fee committee for determination of fee structure for various technical courses including MBA. As per the direction of the state level fee committee, the interim fee structure for MBA course for the session 2010-11 is as under:

Note: Vide Order no. ,F-18(5)/T.E./2004 dated August 5, 2011 of Govt. of Rajasthan the fee shall be charged semester wise. However, the caution money (refundable) is to be deposited in the first semester only.
Fee refund cases shall be dealt as per directions and policies of RTU/AICTE or Govt. of Rajasthan.
